West Bend Auto Repair

This place is great. I started going there about 10 years ago when I was told by a different auto shop that I needed a new battery before winter. When I took my car in to half price auto a few days later and told the owner I needed a new battery, he took my car and about 10 minutes later came out to inform me that my battery was fine (sure enough, it made it through winter with no problem). Since I know nothing of cars, I appreciate knowing that they aren't just going to provide unnecessary services because it would be easy to take my money.

Had van towed to Half Price Auto after spending all morning trying to get it to start. They got us in right away and when they went to look at our van, it started - frustrating! Thinking we would at least pay them for their time, they didn't charge us anything! They were friendly, prompt, and are definitely in business for the right reasons!

Repeatedly has saved us hundreds of dollars on repairs. John doesn't charge for most diagnostic work and does not surprise you with unnecessary work. His price is always the price he quotes. I have stopped getting second opinions on any of our three vehicles because the dealer quotes were always much higher, (hundreds), for the same work. He explains everything and has become our trusted go to guy..
